Downloading Certificates
After activating your SDC device, a PFX digital certificate is generated for it. You can download this certificate from the Client Portal for backup or manual configuration purposes.
What is a PFX Certificate?
A PFX (Personal Information Exchange) file contains your digital certificate and private key. It's used by the SDC to sign invoices on behalf of your business. The tax authority issues these certificates, and they are tied to your taxpayer identity.
Downloading Your Certificate
Log in to the Client Portal
Go to SDC → Licences
Find the activated key that has a certificate (the key must have status Used)
Click the actions menu on that row
Select Download PFX Certificate

The file will download to your device

Note: The download option only appears for keys that have been activated and have a certificate associated with them. If you don't see the option, the key may not yet be activated.
Important Security Notes
Keep your PFX file secure. It contains your private key and should not be shared.
Store a backup in a safe location in case you need to reinstall or migrate your SDC.
Do not email PFX files — use secure file transfer methods if you need to move them between devices.
When You Might Need This
Device migration — Moving the SDC to a new computer
Backup — Keeping a copy in case of hardware failure
Cloud POS setup — If you also use Cloud POS, you'll upload this same PFX certificate there
